MEDIACORP CANADA PICKS DIGITAL EXTREMES AS A TOP 100 EMPLOYER OF 2026
26th Annual Editorial Competition, Published in The Globe and Mail, Honors ‘Warframe,’ ‘Soulframe’ Development Studio for 12th Consecutive Year
Digital Extremes has championed Warframe since its launch in 2013 by fostering a thriving, inclusive community of players who find their home-away-from-home, bullet-jumping through immersive online worlds with squads of friends. Community, creating genuine connections that empower colleagues (and players) to thrive together, is paramount to our contributions to the interactive entertainment industry. We’re incredibly proud to share the great news that, for the 12th consecutive year, Digital Extremes has been recognized as a Top 100 Employer by MediaCorp Canada, Inc. and is today included in a special edition of The Globe and Mail, joining other highly-ranked institutions across a range of diverse specialties such as Fidelity, Keurig Dr. Pepper, Nestle, Procter & Gamble, Inc., Samsung Electronics, and dozens of other leading organizations building the workplace of today and tomorrow through community and cultural prowess.
"The source of our success is unmistakably our employees — some of the best in the industry," said HR Director Heidi Flynn. “Our team members invest deeply in the work they do every day: they show up, and they consistently perform incredible work. In turn, we do our very best to support them, encourage them, and create programs to ensure they feel valued. Our recognition in the Top 100 Employers of Canada is a direct reflection of the culture that every single employee has helped to create. This honor affirms that our deep commitment to inclusiveness and company-wide collaboration sets us apart.”
Employers in MediaCorp Canada’s editorial competition were evaluated by the editorial board of Canada’s Top 100 Employers using eight criteria, which have remained consistent since inception in 1992: (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere & Social; (3) Health, Financial & Family Benefits; (4) Vacation & Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training & Development Skills; and (8) Community Involvement. Employers are assessed against other organizations in their field to determine which offers the most progressive and forward-thinking initiatives. A detailed overview of the selection process can be found online.
Among its employee enrichment programs and offerings, Digital Extremes was credited for its commitment to local community and charity efforts. In July 2025, during its annual fan convention, TennoCon, the studio donated $100,000 CAD to Make-A-Wish Foundation Canada and $100,000 CAD to Canadian Mental Health Association Thames Valley in support of their mission to build family homes in London, Ontario as part of the Hill Street Project. In October 2025, Digital Extremes and its community of Warframe players raised more than $300,000 CAD for The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation in support of breast cancer research and awareness.
Digital Extremes is hiring for a number of open positions with remote, in-studio, and hybrid options available to prospective candidates. For information on open positions, check out our career page.
