Starfinder x Warframe Tabletop Collaboration, Operation: Orias, Available Today in Digital and Physical Editions

Digital Extremes and Paizo’s Operation: Orias, a Starfinder x Warframe tabletop collaboration, is available today, bringing the sci-fi epic world of Warframe to Starfinder Second Edition. This standalone adventure, featuring characters from Warframe: 1999, is available for purchase digitally from Paizo’s storefront. A limited number of exclusive physical editions are also available. For those in need of new dice, a special Warframe seven-piece dice and tray set is also available today for pre-order via the Warframe Merch Store.
Operation: Orias is a complete standalone adventure that meticulously blends the in-depth, tactical sci-fi D20-based gameplay of Starfinder Second Edition with Warframe’s immersive, action-packed setting, lore, and characters. A transmission from The Lotus, an enigmatic figure at the heart of Warframe’s narrative, calls two to four Protoframes on a perilous journey to rescue a spy from a research facility on Europa. Squad up against adversaries like the Corpus, Grineer, and Infested enemy factions, while working together to survive and reach extraction.
“We are always looking for ways to bring Warframe into other mediums if the stars align, and this stellar collaboration with Paizo is absolutely one of those moments,” said Warframe Creative Director Rebecca Ford. “When Paizo reached out and asked if we would be open to a Warframe and Starfinder crossover, it was such a quick yes. I’m such a fan of both Pathfinder and Starfinder, and know so many others on the team are too. As much as we love telling stories in Warframe's world ourselves, this partnership gives players the tools and opportunity to collaboratively tell a new story with their squadmates, all from the comfort of their own table, virtually or in person!”
“As a longtime fan of Warframe, being able to explore it through the lens of designing a Standalone Adventure was such a rewarding project,” said Luis Loza, Creative Director of Rules and Lore at Paizo. “Taking four very different Protoframes, analyzing them down to their very core, and transforming them into characters within the Starfinder system was such an exciting challenge. It’s very important to me that they still feel like themselves in gameplay and that we create scenarios for players to feel just as much like those characters in roleplay. I’m so proud of this collaboration, our team’s hard work, and just getting to work with such an incredible group of people at Digital Extremes.”
To get started, players need access to the Starfinder Second Edition Player Core, the definitive entry point for Starfinder Second Edition, alongside the Operation: Orias module. Players can elevate their Warframe tabletop encounters to more immersive levels with Protoframe minifigure 3D printable models available for free (courtesy of Digital Extremes) and with one of Paizo’s Flip-Mats, like the Planetary Terrain and Second Edition Playtest Multi-Packs, available on Paizo’s storefront for purchase in digital and physical formats.
