HI all,
Im Neeb on this forum :)
I just thought about "Hayden Tenno" his name, TENNO.
It sounds like Japanese name sound, 天王.
Is he a Japanese-Amerian? or Japanese-Canadian?
I want to know his back ground story :) and I hope DS have more sequels :)
Regards.

As far as I know, Hayden's nationality is not known, I would presume he is American or Canadian.
As for his backstory, (Taken from forum member Ikaruga's guide)
"Hayden Tenno works as a cleaner for The Agency, charged with taking care of
other agents' failed operations. He was sent to the port city of Lasria,
Russia after the Agency lost contact with Mezner. He shares a history with
both Mezner and the rogue agent Nadia. It's been revealed that Hayden was
previously locked away after something went amiss on a previous mission,
but has since been released to participate in the Lasria mission since he
shares the closest ties with Mezner.
Hayden suffers from a disorder known as Congenital Analgia, which makes him
unable to feel pain. Luckily for him, it's what keeps him sane as the virus
creeps up him while others give in to madness."
Hayden was imprisoned because (If I recall correctly) Mezner was infected and escaped from the Agency, and Hayden was Mezner's subordinate, so they thought he might have had something to do with it.
He was let out of prison just before the start of the game, to go and eliminate Mezner in Lasria.
If you want to know more, you should pick up the prequel comic "Dark Sector Zero."

今日は, 調子はどう?
(Forgive me, I'm bad at this xD)
I forget seeing where, but I remember some source had listed his nationality as American, so I'm fairly sure he himself is American, but as to where his parents, etc. may have migrated (if at all) from, we'll probably have to wait to find out.
Also, the comic provides some nice backstory. It doesn't delve too far into the events of the game, but it has a lot of details on the events before it, and especially about the virus. It's worth checking out if you can find it.
I can't wait for the sequel. ;)
