View Full Version : No Signature Images?

I was about to add a signature image as part of the set I just made, but I noticed the IMG BBCode is set to off. Are we then not allowed to have signatures outside of plain text?

I can see the point if you're making sure those with slower internet speeds can still navigate the forums easily, or are trying to prevent unwanted images from popping up before Admin can take care of the issue, but taking away signature images is taking away one of the more fun parts of a forum if you ask me (and I think most users are responsible enough).

Not that huge of a deal, but I'd just like to know before I create more full signature/avatar sets. xD

When you're making your' signature, under the box there is a "Signature Permissions" area, and it shows "Can Upload Images for Signature No". So unfortunately at the moment that's a no. I do hope they change it somewhere down the line though.

hey guys, I enabled sig pics. The reason Im hesitant about having them generally is sometimes people can go over the top with their sigs. For now though Ill enable them.

If they get out of control though Ill drop the hammer! :P

The only thing is the size limit is 9.8KB, that's less than half the limit for the avatars and is pretty restrictive quality-wise, but I guess that might be the point so everything can be loaded up faster.

whoops, yeah thats a little small, I tweaked it now to 100k. We can keep playing with the values until we come up with something reasonable for everyone.
