View Full Version : Bad news for anyone who wanted a patch...

I wrote to digital extremes and got this response.

We would love to have patched it…and we’re lobbying for it with our publisher specifically for the reason you mention. However, they weren’t willing to let us do it since it costs quite a bit of money to first develop the patch and then to release it. I’m afraid we didn’t win the fight. Thanks for playing Dark Sector though!

Dont know what else to say...damn publishers....developers is where its at.

What was the reason you mentioned? Trophies?

Trophie support would be cool, but then again what would they be and how would they be different from the 360 list as well.

no, i wrote about a patch for weapons carry over. I then sent another message stating that if money is an issue, i wouldnt mind paying $5 for it as dlc, as long as it came with new multiplayer maps or something. I got this response.

We’re the developer..it’s the publisher at fault. Unfortunately they don’t see the value in doing a patch like we do L

You know that might be bad news for this game, but we can voice our selves for there next game though. Yes I said next game for which ever it will be.

That's dissapointing. I'm really hoping that they release a sequel. Has there been any anouncements or atlest any hints from DE?

No hints as of yet, but I know they are working on things right now. So it should be good when they do tell us.
